Police raid Mandrax drug lab in Westonaria and make two arrests

Police also confiscated machinery used in the lab.

Two people were arrested today, March 6, during a raid of a Mandrax lab.

The spokesperson of the West Rand Flying Squad, Karin du Plessis, stated they were informed of an alleged Mandrax manufacturer before the raid.

Observations were done of the property and we obtained a warrant ultimately leading to the raid.”

Two suspects were ultimately apprehended, one of which was found in the process of making the pills. Machinery used to produce the illegal substance, as well as powder estimated to be the value of 35 000 pills were also found during the raid.
