Reservoir levels plunge, three areas now empty

A recent statement confirmed that Bekkersdal, Glenharvie, and now Hillshaven reservoirs are all empty.

A critical water update has confirmed that the Hillshaven reservoir has now also run dry, adding to the growing list of areas facing severe shortages.

Both the Bekkersdal and Glenharvie reservoirs were already empty before this latest development.

These are the current water levels across various areas:

• Bekkersdal pressure towers: Empty
• Glenharvie reservoirs 1 and 2: Empty
• Westergloor reservoirs 1, 2 and 3: 40%
• Finsbury reservoir: 50%
• Westonaria reservoir 1: 60%
• Westonaria reservoir 2: 65%
• Westonaria reservoir 3: 70%
• Greenhills reservoirs 1 and 2: 60%
• Waterpan reservoir: 20%
• Hillshaven reservoir: Empty
