Rand West City reservoirs still in crisis

Glenharvie and Bekkersdal remain empty as other reservoirs rise and fall across Rand West City.

In its latest update, Rand West City Local Municipality reported that water levels across the city remain under severe strain.

Municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa highlighted that the Glenharvie and Bekkersdal reservoirs are still at 0% capacity.

Other reservoirs in the area are varying, with Westergloor at around 70%, Finsbury at 60%, Westonaria between 55% and 75%, Greenhills at 40%, Waterpan at 50%, and Hillshaven at 60%.

Residents are urged to continue using water responsibly as the municipality monitors the situation closely.
