Water and electricity audit underway in Randfontein

Residents across Rand West City are urged to be alert as authorised municipal teams begin a citywide audit of water and electricity meters.

Residents can expect visits from authorised teams conducting a comprehensive audit of water and electricity meters.

According to Rand West City Local Municipality municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, the audit aims to verify meter accuracy, detect leaks and losses, and improve billing and service efficiency.

The teams will inspect and test meters, disconnect illegal connections, and replace faulty meters where necessary.

“Ensure clear access to meters. All officials will carry municipal identification and branding. This process is free of charge,” Montshiwa said.
