Rand West Municipality spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa said the municipality is actively working to address the issue.

“The municipality is actively addressing water issues and is fully committed to resolving the problem. Supplying water to the community remains the municipality’s top priority,” he said. However, no response was received when a timeline for resolving the issue was requested.

In the meantime, families continue to cope by storing water when it becomes available and sharing resources within the community, though residents say these measures are not sustainable.
