Environmental awareness takes root in Mohlakeng

Community members were encouraged to take ownership of cleaner, healthier neighbourhoods through education and shared responsibility.

World Environment Day in Mohlakeng on June 25 brought together community members, officials and stakeholders in a shared commitment to environmental awareness.

The Rand West City Local Municipality, in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Environment, successfully commemorated the day at Ramosa Hall, where various leaders and representatives from both the municipality and the department addressed attendees.
