First entries roll in for #MyPotholeIsBiggerThanYours campaign
The race to find the biggest pothole is on, with the first photographs already landing in the Herald's inbox.
The Randfontein Herald has received its first batch of entries for its #MyPotholeIsBiggerThanYours campaign, with Ward 6 councillor Martin Brown among the first residents to submit photographs highlighting the poor condition of local roads.

The campaign invites residents across Rand West City to photograph potholes in their neighbourhoods and submit them to the Herald, helping to shine a spotlight on the roads most in need of attention.

To enter, residents are asked to email a clear photograph of the pothole along with the street address, suburb or area, and their name to randfonteinherald@caxton.co.za.

Submitted photographs will be published on the Randfontein Herald’s Facebook page, where the community can vote for what they believe is the biggest pothole. The entry receiving the most votes each week will be crowned that week’s winner.

The campaign aims to encourage community participation while highlighting the ongoing challenge of potholes that affect motorists, cyclists and pedestrians throughout Rand West City.
The Herald encourages residents to continue sending in their entries, as every submission helps build a clearer picture of the roads that require urgent maintenance.
