Residents from Randfontein and its surrounding areas came out in their numbers to the Greenhills Stadium on Sunday, November 20 to witness singer Danie Botha during his live performance.
Botha sang different songs and also blessed those in attendance with the Word of God.

The event was organised by Randfontein Rugby Club as a token of appreciation to Randfontein residents for their support and to celebrate the good year that they’ve had on the rugby field.
Randfontein Rugby Club president Jannie van Loggerenberg said approximately 150 people were in attendance and had a great time.
“We are very happy with the number of people who decided to come to the event which was free of charge. What we wanted to do this year was to get the community together and just give back to them. We also wanted the performance to send a message of hope and encourage people to be the change that they want to see,” said Van Loggerenberg.

He added they wanted to focus on the mind, body and soul of their players, in order to ensure that they are holistically well and prepared to deal with whatever challenges life throws at them.
“You can’t just create these monsters of rugby players who are psychically fit but mentally they are not up to the challenge thrown at them. These challenges could come in the form of their marriages, work spaces and life in general – that’s also one of the reasons why we decided to host this event,” Van Loggerenberg concluded.
