A business owner decided to host a fundraiser for a child who fell into scalding hot water.

Vale’s Fruit and Veg Hyper hosted a fundraiser to help Zihanku van Aarde’s parents afford his medical bill.

According to employee Charlene Kriel, the owner of the business Frank Do Tanque hosted the fundraiser.

“I have a four-year-old son and I know that if that had to happen to him, I would have wanted the same. I would have wanted the community to help as well,” Charlene said.

Charlene also urged other businesses and residents to contribute to Zihanku’s cause.

Furthermore, Charlene thanked the community for contributing to the cause. On this day, the business raised about R2 800 for Zihanku’s expenses.
