Calling all volunteers to help at the SPCA
Become part of the RandWest SPCA's volunteer programme and help make a difference.

The RandWest SPCA calls on any person interested to be a part of their volunteer programme.
SPCA manager René van Straten said, “We concentrate on the work we have to do to help the animals and do the day-to-day things such as cutting the grass and doing maintenance, but unfortunately we do not have time to do the extras such as paint.”
She explained the idea for the programme is to take a Friday and Saturday to do gardening. Participants can bring the tools and plants they would like to donate and decorate the garden. They will also have clean-up days, paint days and maintenance days where they will clean kennels, fix the roof and do necessary plumbing. No specific dates have, however, been chosen yet.
She continued that the volunteers will not be exposed to the work the SPCA inspectors do and will only work on the premises. If any person from this group of volunteers is interested in joining the team, they can then become an official volunteer, be part of the committee or do fundraising.
“Anyone is welcome, there is something for everyone. We will have many things that will be arranged during the year,” said René.
Any person interested can send an email to chairman@spcarandwest.co.za or vicechairman@spcarandwest.co.za.
