Animal lovers give the SPCA some love

The RandWest SPCA hosted their Valentine’s Day fundraiser at Nate’s Restaurant recently with great success.

“The event was very successful. We weren’t booked full to the brim but it was a lot of fun. The most important thing was that the community see how hard we try to raise funds for our shelter animals,” said manager René van Straten.

All attendees were welcome to bring a teddy companion along whereafter they had to care for it throughout the night.

Even though Valentine’s Day was a regular day for those working at the SPCA, René stated it is a day filled with love even if it is love towards animals.

“It is important to give your pet just as much love on the day as you would give to your loved ones,” she expressed.
