Caring Mothers reach out to the Mohlakeng community

As mothers themselves, the Caring Mothers NPO decided to donate clothes to those who cannot afford it.

The Caring Mothers NPO (Amaqhawekazi in Setswana) recently held an outreach where they donated clothing to the less fortunate in Mohlakeng.

According to the NPO’s chairperson, Shirley Boom, the aim was to clothe those who are in dire straits.

“We also wanted to bring attention to our initiative and let the community know if they have any clothes they no longer need, they can donate them to someone who needs them,” Shirley expressed.

As mothers ourselves, we realised a lot of residents in our community are unemployed and therefore many cannot afford to feed themselves and their families,” she concluded.

The members of Caring Mothers who helped on the day include Shirley, deputy chairperson Qukeza Mtati, secretary Miriam Manyise, deputy secretary Nombulelo Ntlekeni, treasurer Ncumisa Sephiri, Violet Masega and Adelina Tladi.

Members of the community receive their donations.
