Mapule Ratsoeu of the foundation stated they were planning a walk in support of a learner that was raped in Cape Town, however, due to the rain they decided to rather have a candlelight ceremony.

Children from all over the community came together in support of this cause,” she said.

Aside from creating awareness for the learner from Cape Town, they also aimed to raise funds for the disadvantaged children in the community to buy winter clothes and school uniforms for them.

Ratsoeu concluded there were also motivational talks for the children, along with indigenous games and later in the evening, they had various DJs performing.
