The founder of the Myburgh Foundation is embarking on a 20-day Homeless Awareness and Fundraising Campaign where he is rendering himself homeless to spread awareness.

His first day started in Hillbrow, while on day two, he stayed in Melrose. Then he continued his walk towards Sandton and thereafter Midrand. Randy is currently living on the streets of Centurion.

This has given me a new perspective on life. I realised that no matter how bad things are, we always have to be thankful for what we have,” he expressed.

He further mentioned that homeless people tend to look after each other on the street and share everything.

“The experience is terrifying. As soon as the sun sets, a million things run through my head. Where am I going to sleep? How safe am I? Before this journey, I had to prepare myself mentally and physically. Otherwise, I would not have been able to take it on.

“I thank the Lord, my family and friends, as well as all the community members who are supporting me,” he concluded.
