Ghostly grooves raise funds for RandWest SPCA

After a successful night at the Howllooo Dance, the RandWest SPCA expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made it possible.

The RandWest SPCA brought the community together for an evening of fun and fundraising at the Howllooo Dance in support of their ongoing work with animals.

Committee member Brenda Eloff explained that the SPCA is currently facing financial challenges.

“When the idea of hosting a dance to raise funds was suggested, the team immediately embraced it,” Brenda said.

She added that they were overjoyed when the owners of Fantasy Farmyard generously offered their venue free of charge. The idea for the dance came from two new committee members, Lynette and Manché Fourie, with Manché also serving as the chairperson.

“We are extremely grateful for their love, passion and dedication to the SPCA, our animals and our staff,” Brenda said.

Funds were raised through ticket sales, games and auctions held throughout the evening. Several local businesses also donated prizes that were given away during the event.

“We have many monthly expenses such as fuel, salaries, vet bills, water, and electricity. Without fundraisers, we simply can’t cover these costs. Events like this allow us to continue doing what we love – rescuing and caring for animals,” Brenda explained.

She concluded, “I want to thank every person who contributed to the success of the evening from the bottom of my heart. To our community who supported us with such enthusiasm, you are our heroes.”
