Miss Iconic Pre-Teen finalist hopes to make a difference in her community

Trying to make a difference in the community, this 10-year-old is collecting Bibles to hand over to a ministry serving inmates.

Local pageant finalist, Anica Kotzé (10), hopes to make a difference in the lives of others by collecting donations of Bibles.

Anica is collecting Bibles for New Beginnings, a ministry that reaches out to inmates. She came up with the idea of collecting Bibles after she realised there is a need in prisons.

“Many people repent, but don’t have Bibles to support them in their journey with God,” she said.

Iconic Pageants is focused on charity and the difference their contestants can make in the community.

Until November 23, Anica will be collecting Bibles, which she hope will help the inmates grow spiritually. Donations can be dropped off at the SPAR in Kocksoord or Cartridge Cave. They are in need of Bibles in English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, isiXhosa and Sepedi.

“Any institution or individual who feels moved to make a donation in support of this project would be appreciated,” she said.
