Fluffy finds his way home
After disappearing during the festive season, Fluffy the cat has finally been reunited with his relieved family.
Fluffy the cat has been reunited with his family after going missing on December 20.
According to his owner, Vivienne Hancox, Fluffy went for a walk that day and did not return. As the family grew concerned, they asked friends and relatives to pray for his safe return.
Vivienne also appealed to community members to share Fluffy’s photo on social media, after which several organisations offered assistance. Although these efforts initially brought no results, the family remained hopeful and continued praying.
Vivienne later asked her pastor to keep an eye out in his area, which she believes marked the start of a miracle.
After the pastor shared Fluffy’s photo, he received a call from a woman who said the cat had arrived at her home a few days earlier, appearing to be lost. Vivienne contacted the woman and was finally reunited with Fluffy on January 12.

Fluffy is now safely back home and will soon be fitted with a pet tracker to help Vivienne keep track of his future adventures.
She encouraged pet owners to ensure their animals wear collars with name tags and contact details, and to have their pets microchipped.
“The lesson from this experience is that if God can work such a miracle for an animal, how much more will He do for us if we trust, believe and pray,” Vivienne said.
She also thanked everyone involved in the search, as well as the Randfontein Herald for assisting by sharing the appeal on Facebook and its digital platforms.
