Donation drive set for Friday

The Anchor of Hope Foundation will distribute food to those in need at the BP Garage on Van Riebeeck Road this Friday while appealing to residents to donate essential items in support of the initiative.

The Anchor of Hope Foundation is set to host a community outreach drive in Randfontein this Friday aimed at assisting vulnerable residents.

The initiative will take place at the BP Garage on Van Riebeeck Road from 11:00, where volunteers will distribute bread and warm soup to community members in need.

In addition to the food drive, the foundation is appealing to residents to donate non-perishable food, clothing, toiletries and monetary contributions to support struggling families and individuals.

Organiser Taylor Wood said the initiative forms part of the foundation’s ongoing mission to uplift vulnerable communities and restore dignity to those facing difficult circumstances.

Wood added that even small contributions can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

Community members are encouraged to support the initiative through donations or by showing solidarity with those less fortunate.
