Municipality has no shame

I personally feel that residents should not be made to suffer like this because of municipal feuds or what ever the case may be.

Having read about the situation in Mohlakeng extension five, I cannot help but think that the municipality is yet to pass the buck and say that they are not to blame for the apparent housing confusion.

In the previous edition of the Herald, it was reported that residents of the area are without adequate service delivery such as water, electricity and proper sanitation.

What was also reported is the fact that the municipality fails to render such services because of a land dispute.

They claim that the residents are staying in the area illegally and that is why they cannot provide the basics.

I personally feel that residents should not be made to suffer like this because of municipal feuds or what ever the case may be.

People should be given what they deserve and that is basic service delivery.

No one in this democracy should be living without water and electricity.

It is something the ruling party especially our municipality should be providing to its people.
