Mzi for ANC West Rand chairperson

The roar of this lion is genuine and powerful and often directed to positive change in line with the national democratic revolution.

The ANC West Rand Region will be going to its elective conference in May.

The contest for leadership positions is extremely high.

Leading the race for top chairperson position is Mzi Khumalo, who has with a strong political background, and is a cadre who has seen and contributed immensely to the development and transformation of the West Rand. He worked with the likes of former DA leader, Roy Harris, who was like a mentor to them in politics at the time of the newly established Democratic Randfontein Local Municipality.

It is through his passion and dedication for improving the lives of the people of the West Rand that he became the Executive Mayor of the newly established entity, Rand West City Local Municipality

His political track record speaks for itself about the calibre of leader best suited to take the reins from the current chairperson, Boyce Maneli, who has also done well in leading the region.

Khumalo believes that he is ready to be the new guardian of the region because the unity that has been hard earned by the West Rand, coming from a divided past, needs to be sustained.

The West Rand is a strategic centre for a strong and successful Gauteng province, thus the region needs such a leader of Mzi’s calibre, someone who is not a toddler in politics, a disciplined force of the left who is a staunch believer in Radical Economic Transformation.

The roar of this lion is genuine and powerful and often directed to positive change in line with the national democratic revolution.
