Hip-Hop dancers take Randburg by storm
The dancers from Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Academy showed that they are the best when they dominated the Gauteng Hip Hop Championships.

Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Academy recently took part in the Sadta Gauteng Hip-Hop Championships and made sure that they stand out above the rest of the competitors.
According to Mario Gomes, the championships took place at the Walter SiSulu Hall in Randburg on 19 and 20 July.
“I had over 86 dancers taking part at this event in different categories from solo, duo, small crews and mega crews.
“My academy gave it all and has proven to be the best Hip Hop Academy on the West Rand.
“Im very proud to announce that out of the West Rand we have a number of Gauteng Champions.
All my Mega Crews in the different age categories finished first so as an academy, we took the top places in the mega crew category,” says Mario.
Kahos Crew finished first in the 11-years and under Amateur Hip Hop mega crew category, while Hush Crew also took first place in the 12 to 15-years category. LXD took top honours in the 16-years and older category.
In the amateur solo championships, both Sharnae Botha and Jesse Potgieter took first place in their respective age categories. Savannah Cooper and Khaya Dlhadlha both took first place in the 16-years and older championship solo category.
During the 11-years and younger amateur duos category, Angelique Botha and Keira Pienaar achieved an overall first place, while Savannah Cooper and Naledi Leoto took first place in the 16-years and older championshop duos category.
The 8one.OH Crew took an overall third place in the Hip Hop Street Crew category.
“I am also proud to announce that Thato Dithebe, Nicolas Strouss and Warrick Naude have been selected to represent South Africa at the IDO World Hip Hop Championships during October in Germany. The Academy is very proud of them and wish them all the best as they prepare for the World Champs,” says Mario.
The other solo finalists from Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Academy are Venesh Philemon, Warrick Naude, Thato Dithebe, Nicolas Strous, Keira Pienaar, Kisha Dos Santos, L’ray Wiese, Chantelle van Heerden, Brandon Goncalves, Minette Maritz, Boikanyo Nkoane, Angelique Botha, Alane Evans, Katia Pita, Luciano De Pont, Nicos Argyrou, Monrico Perry, Noah Strous, Nikki Christodoulous, Miguel Perry, Mari Cowan, Michela Perdichizzi, Vuyo Mbonya, Nielon Philemon, Tanza Dos Santos, Kyle Grootboom, Jonnathan Bezuidenhout, Bernadine Van Aswegen, Tokollo Ndbelle and Barney.
