Local show jumper and owner of Little Acres Equestrian Centre, Shelley de Beer, took third place during her first show jumping competition of the year.

According to Shelley, she took part in her first competition for the year on 16 February at Sunlands in Kyalami.

“During this event, I rode on my trusty old stead, Galilayo.

“The competition was tough, but Galilayo and I managed to end in the top three,” says Shelley.

She adds that they also took part in the President’s Cup which was hosted at Maple Rose in the Cradle of Human Kind on 22 March.

Not only is Shelley an outstanding horse rider, but she also dedicated her life to helping others reach their horse riding goals.

“As the owner of Little Acres Equestrian Centre, we help upcoming riders in all disciplines of horse riding.

“We also have stabling available and therefore you have to have your own horse in order for us to train you,” says Shelley.
