Jan Viljoen High School's teacher excels in mathematics as well as the 947 Ride Joburg cycling challenge.

Jan Viljoen High School’s maths teacher, Ben Engelbrecht, recently achieved great success after completing his fourth 947 Ride Joburg cycle race.

Charl Ludick, spokesperson for Jan Viljoen, explained that Ben is known for his passion for both maths and cycling and added that Ben seamlessly merged his love for numbers with his prowess on wheels.

“Aptly dubbed as the ‘Math on Wheels’ maestro, Ben not only inspires his students in the classroom but also showcases his dedication and resilience on the cycling track,” Charl said.

The 947-cycle challenge that occurred on November 19, was a rigorous test of endurance, and Ben’s determination to complete surely exhibited his perseverance to achieve success, both in the field of sports and academics.

“His achievement serves as an inspiration to the school community, highlighting the harmonious balance one can achieve between intellectual pursuits and physical endeavors,” Charl commented proudly.
