Kyle Kannemeyer is ready to impress.

Despite going head-to-head against some of the best competitors in the province, Spartans secured 19 medals of which three were gold, nine silver, and seven bronze.

Enzo added that the disciplines performed by the members included Kata (a performance of karate skills and basics) and Kumite (a fight between two competitors displaying kicks, punches, throws, and takedowns).

“It was extremely difficult to achieve a medal at this event that had the best athletes from each of Gauteng’s five districts. The athletes, however, showed that they are capable of being the best,” Enzo said.

He concluded that Spartans Karate Dojo aims to develop all of its members to perform at the highest standard possible as well as help them achieve their goals in the sport.
