Young footballer inspired by Germany’s Kroos
Another young footballer introduces himself and speaks about his dreams and aspirations.
Hloekiso Nixon is the latest footballing star to emerge from Greenhills.
The 20-year-old currently plays for Trabzonspor Football Club as a central defensive midfielder. He has been playing football for most of his life. However, his true passion for football started at the age of 11 when he started playing for the Augusto Palious Football Club.
During this time, Hloekiso won Player of the Tournament at his primary school while he also won the regional league.
“My mother is my biggest motivation. She always inspires me to do better in all corners of life,” he expressed.
His favourite thing about football is scoring goals. He can see himself playing professional football one day. His biggest role model is German former professional footballer Toni Kroos.
“The most important thing to remember is to persevere and keep fit. When the time is right, the Lord will make it happen. I would also like to thank the community for always supporting us,” Hloekiso concluded.
