Nine-year-old scouted by Mamelodi Sundowns

Nine-year-old Reabetswe is ready to prove his skills after being scouted by Mamelodi Sundowns.

Reabetswe Mapena (9) has proved his talent and his determination has paid off after he was selected to join the junior team at Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club.

The left-wing player has been playing for the Randfontein Manchester United Football Club. His passion for the sport started at a young age when his father introduced him to it.

Recently, while playing at trials, Reabetswe was scouted by members of Mamelodi Sundowns FC and he was asked to join the club.

I feel very happy about being chosen. I am very excited to see what happens. I hope to score enough goals and to help with assisting.”

His role model is Relebogile Mofokeng and Reabetswe dreams of someday playing professional football.

“Never give up on your dreams,” he concluded.
