In the end, there could only be one winner, with Motlakase FC from Soweto walking away with the R100k prize after having defeated Reofentse FC from Oasis in the main event.

With just 15 minutes into the first half, Motlakase FC took the lead with Jerry Msandi nailing a penalty goal.

Xolani Nkala then made it 2–0 in the second half. Thereafter, Kopano Sejamoholo put the nail in the coffin by scoring a third goal for Motlakase FC. Although Reofentse attempted to claw their way back at times, it was too little, too late.

Despite the loss, Reofentse took home a R60 000 prize for being runners-up.

“We are so overwhelmed with this first-time podium finish.

We came out second best, yet the R60 000 loot is more than a bonus for us,” said Reofentse coach, Rogers Matavela.
