New gear, new confidence for Faygee Boys

Generous jersey donation empowers Toekomsrus youth to stay on the field and off the streets.

The Faygee Boys Rugby Club can now play confidently on the field after a generous sponsorship by Recklessbear of brand new jerseys.

An ecstatic founder and coach, Fabian Wilson, mentioned that the players were very excited to receive the gift, and this initiative will motivate them to perform their best on the field.

“The children of Toekomsrus are regularly exposed to drugs and violence. This donation is helping the children in need by keeping them off the streets,” he said.

He further explained that the aim of the club is to guide children towards personal growth and redirect their lives.

“It really is the small things that change a child’s life. A ball is much better than a gun. It is difficult to help if no one tries to change a dysfunctional society. But we decided to do something. We wanted to give these children the chance of a better future. A child on the sports field is a child away from the criminal court,” Fabian stated.

The club relies on donations, and according to Fabian, it is currently in need of funds. Anyone willing to donate can contact the club at 062 889 2066.
