Community enjoys bowling and friendly competition

To promote their love for bowling and engage the community, the Randfontein Bowling Club hosted a fun day that also raised funds for the club.

Randfontein Bowling Club recently brought the community together for a fun-filled day of bowling, raising funds while sharing laughs and friendly competition.

Club member Barbara Britz explained that they played 14 ends and the teams were in friendly competition with one another.

“It is about family time and getting out in nature. We are grateful for every person who joined us,” said Barbara.

Barbara noted that they rely on their 40 members alone for funding for the club; they don’t have any other sponsors. The fun day aims to raise funds for necessary expenses, such as maintenance on the grounds.

In the past, they had challenges with water outages and the weather; luckily, this time, neither was an issue.

They asked the community if anyone would be willing to donate to the club; they would greatly appreciate it. Any person who would like to reach out to the club with sponsorship can contact Barbara on 082 497 5126.
