The Easter bunny visits Melktandjies

'The children were overjoyed when the Easter bunny came, they also received little gifts and had the opportunity to take a picture with the bunny' – principal.

Melktandjies Nursery School celebrated Easter on Thursday, April 6.

The school was decorated in the spirit of Easter with carrots, bunny rabbits, and eggs all over.

Principal Karin Korf said the children started the day by reading a Bible story about the resurrection of Jesus and also learned that Easter is about love, joy, and remembrance and that this is a time to be grateful and rejoice.

“The children then moved on to play a couple of games – they had to throw a carrot into a bucket, pin the tail on the bunny and throw some balls through a bunny’s body.”

She added the highlight of the day was the Easter egg hunt and a visit from the Easter bunny.
