Gouefees gets a pro wrestling boost
After six years, professional wrestling is back to excite crowds at this year's Randfontein Gouefees.
Today, February 28, is packed with entertainment and one of the biggest highlights of the Randfontein Gouefees is set to be the return of professional wrestling.
For many residents, wrestling brings back fond memories of the old Randfontein Show, where for more than a decade crowds were thrilled by some of the best professional wrestling on the African continent.
Legends such as Mr Wrestling, Ananzi, Boerseun, The Crow, Kilimanjaro and The LoudMouth became household names as they delivered adrenaline-filled performances year after year.

After an almost six-year hiatus, World Wrestling Professionals (WWP) is making a highly anticipated return to Randfontein. The organisation, regarded as the most trusted and longest-running professional wrestling company on the African continent, has committed to being part of the festival for the next three years.
“Being part of this storied festival has always been an absolute pleasure, and we remain steadfast in our pledge to excite the world,” said Mark Beale, owner of WWP.

Fans can look forward to seeing well-known stalwarts of the South African wrestling scene, including Ananzi, Mr Wrestling, Ryan Cage, WWP World Heavyweight Champion TJ Tremor and The LoudMouth. They will be joined by rising stars such as Zuberi, Starman, Cyrus Stone, Joshua The Bull and Chris Kotze.
The wrestling action kicks off on Saturday, February 28, at the Randfontein Gouefees, adding even more excitement to what is already shaping up to be a memorable community celebration.
Residents are encouraged to bring the whole family and experience the high-energy spectacle as a proud wrestling tradition makes its return to Randfontein.
