A 55-year-old man was shot and wounded in an attempted house robbery in Ashlea Park in the east of Pretoria on Wednesday morning.
Life Med emergency service spokesperson Renata Erasmus said this happened around 05:00.

“Upon arrival, it was found that the patient had sustained multiple gunshots, one to the head and one in the leg.”
Erasmus said the man was stabilised and taken to hospital in a critical condition.
“We wish the patient a speedy recovery. ”
She said nothing was taken from the house.
