
An unknown number of criminals escaped after a cash-in-transit heist in the north of Pretoria.
Details were sketchy but according to crime activist from the north of Pretoria Crystal van den Berg, the incident occurred around 08:30 on Saturday in Karen Park.

She said it took place behind Wonderpark shopping centre in Dieffenbachia Street.

“The criminals escaped and the amount of money taken was still unknown at this stage,” she said.
No injuries were reported at the time of going to press.

She urged residents to stay on the lookout for a silver Toyota Yaris and an Audi S3, colour unknown.
These two vehicles were allegedly involved in the cash-in-transit heist.

Residents took to social media after hearing four explosions and gun shots, in an attempt to find out what happened.
