Tears of joy flowed as parents said goodbye their bright eyed children on their way to begin their grade 1 on Wednesday morning, at Laerskool Doringkloof in Centurion.

Parents, some on their knees, reassured their teary-eyed young ones that everything would be okay.

Little Sinothile Shozi seemed very excited in her grade 1 class as her teacher allowed her and her class to draw what made them happy.

Teachers at Laerskool Doringkloof welcomed the young minds to this school full of history and a reputation of excellence.
