AgangSA support local soccer clubs
AgangSA's new soccer tournament is aimed at youth development through sports, which, as a constructive social activity, is something the party identifies with.

Assisting in youth and soccer development is the aim of AgangSA with a sports tournament they are planning to host annually.
AgangSA worked in partnership with the Phelindaba Football association (PFA) to host the Heritage Soccer Tournament, Agang SA Tshwane regional secretary, Mongezi Mayoli, explained.
He further explained that the tournament will be played in all townships in Tshwane and winners from the townships will come together to play for the final prize. “PFA is a community level football management body which falls under the South African Football Association (Safa). They are the custodians of football and football development in Atteridgeville.”
AgangSA, which means ‘Build South Africa’ is part of Agang, the recently launched political party and brainchild of Dr Mamphele Ramphele.
The tournament was played for four days and nine teams took part. The teams were from Atteridgeville, Saulsville and Lotus Gardens. The first prize winner of the tournament was Barcelona FC, which won 4-2 against Phelindaba FC.
Second prize went to Phelindaba FC and third prize to Zebras FC. “Sport is part of our culture and we are a diverse nation, diverse in culture and in sport. Soccer is one of the most played and celebrated sports and it is a constructive social activity. It keeps young people out of trouble, and it is something that AgangSA identifies with,” Mayoli said in closing.
