Chanelle Henning’s husband charged with murder
Nico Henning was charged with the murder of his wife Chanelle Henning after he appeared at the Pretoria Regional Court on Friday morning.

After reporting to the Villieria police station on Friday morning, Nico Henning appeared in the Pretoria Regional Court and was charged with the murder of his wife Chanelle Henning, police said.
“He was handed in to the Villieria police station by his attorney and appeared in the Pretoria regional court on charges of murder. He will appear in court again on Tuesday for his bail hearing,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini.
This came after the accused, Andre Gouws, testified in court on Thursday, stating that Henning had hired him and offered him R1m to kill his wife with the motive of gaining custody of their son.
Gouws read out a statement in which he said that he could not commit the murder himself, so he hired former Nigerian Olympic athlete, Ambrose Monye.
Both Gouws and Ambrose were found guilty on Thursday for the murder of Chanelle Henning.
