A driver that was involved in an accident earlier this month needs an eyewitness who can determine the exact happenings of the event. Seelan Arnachellan from Laudium said he was involved in an accident on the morning of 10 December at around 08:10 on the corner of Samrand Avenue and Rooihuiskraal Road in the direction of Rooihuiskraal.
Stormy weather restrained visibility and as he turned into Rooihuiskraal Road, a vehicle approached him, causing Arnachellan to swerve to the left. According to Arnachellan, the vehicle was driving in his lane, possibly to overtake the traffic.
Damage was caused to the right fender, the driver’s door as well as the wheel’s mag. Arnachellan was driving a white Volkswagen Golf and the other driver was in a blue Golf.
Arnachellan wants to find someone that witnessed the accident for insurance purposes. “The driver is not willing to pay for my damages because he claimed that I could have avoided the accident by stepping on the breaks earlier. According to my knowledge, the driver was at fault for driving in the oncoming traffic’s lane,” Arnachellan said.
