Foetus discovered in bucket

A foetus was  found in a 20l bucket close to the Masada building in the Eersterust area on Wednesday morning.

According to Zubaire Reenen from the Our Youth at Risk organisation and an eyewitness, the bucket was standing in the middle of a field.

“A vagrant noticed the bucket and when he looked inside, he saw a foetus. He notified the police immediately,” Reenen said.

He said that the scene was cleared an hour later.

“I cannot believe that someone is capable of doing something like this. Where is our world headed?” he exclaimed.

Police spokesman, Constable Sam Shibambo said police are investigating a case of concealment of death.
