The Mamelodi East police launched a manhunt after a 27-year-old man was shot and killed in a storm of bullets last week Saturday morning. The deceased was shot through a bedroom window. It is believed that the suspects fled the scene very swiftly and disappeared after the incident.
According to the Mamelodi East police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe, the shooting occurred in Mamelodi East, Extension 17. “The victim was rushed to the nearest clinic, but died on arrival,” Mbewe explained.
The police have opened a case of murder. Anyone with information that could assist the police with their investigations should contact Warrant Officer Mbewe on 012-815-7102.
