Coca-Cola thieves flee

Thieves who robbed a Coca-Cola depot in Ga-Rankuwa Zone 15 on Tuesday are still on the loose after fleeing in a vehicle full of stock and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Following the alleged business robbery that took place on Tuesday morning in Ga-Rankuwa’s Zone 15, the police in the area have launched a search for the four suspects who robbed a Coca-Cola depot in the industrial side of the area. The suspects, who were driving a black Audi A4 with unknown registration, are reported to have stormed a Coca-Cola depot.

According to the police, the suspects fled in a vehicle loaded with the soft drinks and an undisclosed amount of money. Ga-Rankuwa police spokesperson, Matthews Nkoadi, told Record that the suspects, who had a firearm and a pick for weapons, threatened the woman, who was busy counting money.

He stated that the police had employed different strategies to search for the suspected criminals. “On Tuesday morning, we received a complaint of a business robbery and we quickly rushed to the scene in the industrial site of Zone 15. Unfortunately, at the time of our arrival the suspects had already escaped with their load. It was reported that the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money and used a getaway vehicle that had been waiting,” he said.

Nkoadi further stated that the suspects were presently unknown. Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects, to contact the police crime stop number on 08600-10111 or the SMS line on 32211.
