Parole evoked for Waterkloof Two
The 'Waterkloof Two' are to remain in prison after their parole application was revoked on Friday, the Correctional Services said.

The re-arrested ‘Waterkloof Two’ are to serve another year in prison after their parole was evoked by the Correctional Supervision and Parole Board (CSPB), the Correctional Services said on Friday. This comes after a meeting on Friday in which the CSPB decided that an additional 12 months in detention should be served before further consideration of placement on parole. “The decision by the parole board confirms the zero-tolerance stance towards ill-discipline among inmates, parolees and officials,” Wolela said.
Two of the ‘Waterkloof Four’, Christopher Becker and Frikie du Preez, were re-arrested four days after their parole release last week after a video emerged showing them apparently having a party and drinking alcohol in a Kgosi Mampuru prison jail cell.
“The department will root out criminal behaviour amongst those who taint our standing and reputation in society. The investigation into the role of correctional officials in the incident is almost complete. The profession of corrections has no place for criminals and ill-disciplined officials,” said Wolela.
