Load-shedding in Nellmapius
Load-shedding in Nellmapius is being caused by faulty cables, the metro said on Friday.
Residents of Nellmapius should brace themselves for rotational load-shedding on Friday. The Tshwane metro spokesperson, Selby Bokaba, said this revolving shut down would occur in the area on a four-hourly basis and was anticipated to continue for the rest of the day.
“The disruption of power supply has been as a result of two main feeder cables that were found to be faulty at the Nellmapius substation. Currently, only one cable is supplying electricity to the area,” Bokaba said.
“Be informed that certain streets will be on and off for a while during the day until the cables are fixed,” he added. “Consumers are advised to treat all electrical points as live. Switch off all non-essential appliances to assist with the load on the electrical network.”
