Three cable faults have caused a power failure in Silverton extension 5, Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said on Thursday.
“It is assumed that the repair work might take longer as the cables are located under Simon Vermooten Road, which may pose some problems. If all goes well, the technicians anticipate electricity should be restored by 24:00 tonight.”
Mashigo said some residents of Nellmapius were also experiencing a power failure. This was due to overloading that caused a circuit breaker to burn. “Technicians are busy with the repairs and it is anticipated that power should restored by Thursday afternoon.”
