The Hercules police have arrested two people in possession of drugs and cash in Pretoria Gardens and Pretoria West over the weekend.
Spokesperson Captain Bonginkosi Msimango said a 35-year-old man was found in possession of dagga on Saturday in Van Der Hoff Road in Pretoria West. “Police on patrol pulled over the suspect’s car and on searching his vehicle, they found two plastic bags containing dagga. The value is currently unknown. On Sunday along Schuurmans Avenue in Pretoria Gardens, a 39-year-old Malawian national was driving when a sector manager on patrol pulled him over and searched his vehicle. R150 000 worth of CAT and R2 287 cash in case was found in his possession and seized.” he said.
Meanwhile, police are investigating an unlicensed firearm after a 50-year-old man pointed a gun at his friend in Swasina Park on Saturday. “It is alleged that the man had an argument with the victim when he threatened to shoot him while pointing a firearm at him. The police were called and the suspect was arrested. Further investigations revealed that the suspect had no license to possess a firearm,” said Msimango.
The men are expected to appear at the Pretoria Magistrates Court soon.
