A Hamanskraal sangoma is expected to appear in the Temba Magistrate’s Court on charges of rape, police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi said. He said the man allegedly forced himself on a 19-year-old woman in Kekana Gardens.
“At around 21:00 on Thursday night, it is alleged that he was performing rituals on the woman and promised to remove a tokoloshe,” Moremi said.
The 34-year-old sangoma allegedly raped her as part of the rituals.
“The woman went to Hamanskraal police to open a case. The sangoma was arrested on Friday,” said Moremi
Marumo said the man is expected to appear in court on Monday (29 September).
