Fire destroys offices at air force base
Large fire causes damage at Snake Valley.

A fire destroyed eight offices at the Snake Valley air force base mobile deployment wing last night.
Johan Pieterse of Tshwane Emergency Services said: “The blaze started late last night and Tshwane emergency services as well as the SA Air Force (SAAF) fire services responded. Emergency services and the SAAF will be conducting separate investigations to establish the cause of the fire.”
Brigadier General Xolani Mabanga of the SA National Defence Force said the fire destroyed eight offices at the military base.
“The fire destroyed the admin offices of the mobile deployment wing. We are not yet sure what caused the fire, but we are busy with the investigation. Fortunately nobody was hurt or killed in the fire. We are currently busy with an assessment to determine the extent and cost of the damage.”
