Police are looking for armed robbers and kidnappers

Police are on the hunt for kidnappers and armed robbers.

Police are looking for two armed men who recently hijacked and kidnapped a woman in front of Wonderboompoort police station.

According to Warrant Officer Wanda Olivier the two men pulled up behind the woman in their Audi A4 and demanded her to get back in her own vehicle. The hijackers drove to a bank and forced the woman to withdraw an undisclosed amount of money before they forced her to take them to her home where they robbed her.

“The men left the woman unharmed and fled the scene in their Audi A4 but the victim was able to give us a description of both men and we are urging the community to keep a watchful eye out and contact us immediately if any of the two men are spotted,” Olivier said.

The first man is between the ages of 25 and 30, has a medium to dark complexion, is approximately 1,7 metres tall and had been described as skinny with brown eyes.

The second hijacker is between the ages of 35 and 40, has a light to medium complexion, is skinny and has brown eyes.

Both men spoke Tswana during the hijacking.

A case of robbery and kidnapping is being investigated.

In a separate incident Wonderboompoort police are looking for three armed robbers who overpowered and robbed a couple in their driveway in the Wonderboompoort area.

One of the robbers is between the ages of 19 and 23, has a light complexion, is approximately 1,6 metres tall and is of medium build. According to the victims, the robber has a bad skin and a distinguished scar under his left eye.

He was armed with a black pistol and drove a blue Honda Jazz.

A case of armed robbery is being investigated.
