Police in the west will continue to conduct anti-crime operations after a dagga dealer was arrested in his home in Pretoria West.

Pretoria West police will continue to conduct stop and search operations after a dagga dealer was arrested in Westview on Tuesday.

Cluster police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said police received a tip-off about a man selling dagga.

“Police acted on the tip-off and arrested the suspect at his house on Dr Sadosky Street. Upon police arrival, the suspect was found packaging the dagga into small plastic bags,” said Moloto.

He added the alleged dealer is believed to be selling dagga in Pretoria West and surrounding areas.

“The police will continue to conduct stop and search operations and also erect road blocks to make sure that our community feels safe at all times. Those who are found to be participating in criminal activities will be arrested,” said Moloto.

The man is expected to appear at the Pretoria Magistrates Court soon.
