Chicken Licken robbed
Police are searching for two armed men after a Chicken Licken outlet was robbed in Soshanguve.
A Chicken Licken manager was assaulted and thousands of rands were stolen when two armed men robbed the fast food outlet in Soshanguve on Monday morning, police spokesperson Warrant Officer Lolo Mangena said.
The armed men entered the changing rooms of the franchise at Sosh Plaza, and found four staff members, including the manager.
“They took two cellphones and asked which one was the manager. After the staff members pointed him out, the suspects assaulted the man before instructing him to take them to the safe in his office,” said Mangena.
The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of money, believed to be thousands of rands, which they carried in a Chicken Licken apron, Mangena said.
“They locked the four staff members in the manager’s office before fleeing. No one was arrested and we are investigating.”
