The Reeds hit by water problems

The Tshwane metro has dispatched water tankers to the residents of The Reeds following water interruptions in the area.

Residents of The Reeds in Centurion experienced water supply interruptions on Friday afternoon. Water tankers were to be dispatched to the area, the Tshwane metro said. Tankers would be stationed at schools and crèches in The Reeds, said metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.

“The water supply interruptions are due to low water pressure that has reduced the water supply to a trickle since Thursday. The water and sanitation division in region 4 has arranged water tankers to deliver water to affected schools and crèches.”

Mashigo said a mobile water tanker had been arranged to move from one street to another within the suburb. “Our plumbers are carrying out investigations and repair work in the area. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
